SAGA Team Participates in Yuengling Nags Head Woods

Put on your racing shoes, it’s time once again for the Yuengling Nags Head Woods 5K Race, just in time for Mother’s Day weekend. This is the 31st year that runners have congregated to the Outer Banks to race through the 1,400-acre Nature Conservancy’s Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, a scenic course that meanders through maritime forests bordering the Albemarle Sound.

Presented by Yuengling Brewery and sponsored by SAGA Construction, this year SAGA team is very excited to have more than 15 team members participating in this energetic spring race. The race begins at 8:30am on Saturday, May 10, 2014, and special trophies will be awarded to the “Fastest Mom on the Beach,” “Fastest Military Service,” and the “Fastest Elementary School on the Beach.”

Participants can register online at www.nagsheadwoods5krun.org until the morning of the race or until 500 runners register. The registration fee is $35/person, with special discounts available to military personnel and their dependents.

Hosted by the North Banks Rotary Club in partnership with the Outer Banks Kiwanis Club, all net proceeds benefit local charities, youth programs and military relief charities. Whether you prefer to stroll, jog or competitively run this event, we welcome all of you and hope to see you there!
